Notice of the transition of CEO and President of Ricoh Korea

Seoul, April 1, 2024 –  Ricoh Korea Co., LTD. ("Ricoh Korea"), today announced the appointment of Mr. Shoichi Yamazaki as the new President and CEO of Ricoh Korea. Mr. Yamazaki will succeed Mr. Young Chul Park, who joined Ricoh Korea in 2017, and will serve as President of both Ricoh Korea and FutureWare. Mr. Park will serve as a full-time advisor to Ricoh Korea, supporting Mr. Yamazaki's management. 

Mr. Park is recognized for his visionary leadership and has played a pivotal role in leading the company to a transformational growth phase. His deep expertise and strategic operations have laid a solid foundation for the company's continued success. In his new advisory role, he will continue to support the company's strategic initiatives and provide invaluable advice in fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Mr. Shoichi Yamazaki comes to this position with an impressive track record of strategic planning and operational leadership and a broad understanding of domestic and international market dynamics. His appointment is a testament to Ricoh's strategic foresight in aligning its leadership team with Ricoh Korea's long-term vision and goals. Under Mr. Yamazaki's leadership, Ricoh Korea and Futureware are poised for transformational growth that will strengthen our competitive advantage and deliver exceptional value to both our customers and stakeholders.

Shoichi Yamazai joined Ricoh in 1993. He started his career as a sales representative and extended his career to a product manager. And he worked in Ricoh US working as a business planning manager, a product portfolio manager,  a senior manager of production printer business and a vice president of marketing in US until 2020. From 2021, he had worked as a general manager in global sales strategy center in Ricoh Graphic Communications BU.

These executive appointments mark an important milestone in Ricoh Korea's journey toward continued innovation and market leadership. We are confident that Mr. Park's strategic advisory role and Mr. Yamazaki's dynamic leadership will work synergistically to propel Ricoh Korea and FutureWare to new heights of success. 

 This appointment will be effective from 1st April 2024.
